Collaging with Lauren West

Join analog collage artist Lauren West for a casual night of cut and paste. Lauren will provide materials including vintage Playboy magazines along with other found books full of natural elements to blend sensuality with nature. All experience levels welcome!

Lauren is a Playboy and LA Times published collage artist. Lauren sources editorials from traditional men’s magazines and explores what happens when the image is extracted and immersed in natural surrealist environments. The result reflects back the powerful, vulnerable and multidimensional women that were there along, subverting the originally intended male gaze.
